InMon Corp demonstrates sFlow at the Microsoft BUILD conference
San Francisco — October 3, 2011 — At the Microsoft BUILD Conference last month, InMon Corp. demonstrated sFlow® traffic monitoring, which works with the Microsoft Windows Server "8" Hyper-V Extensible Switch.
Providing sFlow monitoring in the Hyper-V Extensible Switch ensures that the benefits of virtualization can be realized without losing the visibility into network traffic, which is essential for network troubleshooting, traffic accounting and security. In addition, sFlow in Hyper-V includes physical and virtual machine performance monitoring, delivering comprehensive visibility into network and system resources in Microsoft environments.
The sFlow agent is implemented as a Hyper-V Switch extension, which works seamlessly with the Hyper-V Extensible Switch. The agent automatically discovers and tracks changes to virtual switch and virtual machine configuration, ensuring complete and continuous network and system management.
